About

About the Festival

Held from Wednesday 28th March - Sunday 1st April, the 56th annual Gladstone Harbour Festival program once again enticed, excited and engaged the Gladstone community and visitors to the region.

2018’s program includes a fantastic variety of quality entertainment on the GPC Marina Main Stage each night, fun rides for the kids, mardi gras, a great selection of tasty food court treats, Marina Markets, fabulous fireworks displays and plenty of novelty events and attractions.

The Gladstone Harbour Festival has come a long way since it’s humble beginnings  on the back of a truck at the entrance to Central Park, to it’s present home at the Gladstone Ports Corporation Marina stage and parklands.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the Festival, whether it's getting a crew together to participate in the Great Raft Regatta, joining in the fun of the Street Parade, offering some of your time to help volunteer and jumping on board as a sponsor, in-kind supporter or Friend of the Festival.

For more information on the Festival or to find out how you can get involved, call our friendly team on 07 4972 5111, write us an email at info@gladstonefestival.com or pop by our office at the Marina Parklands for a chat!

Festival FAQ's and Tips

Admission Fees
Entry into the Festival is completely free! Along with many of the awesome kids activities, workshops and the fantastic main stage entertainment.

Getting to the Festival & Parking
Parking is available at Central Queensland University in the Marina Parklands, and in the parking area next to the Fish Market on Lord St. These areas are facilitated by our friends from SES and a gold coin donation will be applicable.

If you're planning on having a dagwood dog or two (let's face it - it's not Festival time until you do have one!) and don't mind a bit of a walk to and from the Festival site, there is also parking available further down in the Marina near the Visitor Information Centre and in the Gladstone CBD.

If you're just dropping someone off to the Festival you can utilise the turnaround/stop, drop and go zone - just turn right at the second roundabout after the Marina Bridge.

Disabled Parking
Disbaled parking is available in the Turnaround Zone parking area, right at the second roundabout after the Marina Bridge.

First Aid
The first aid station is located at the main entrance to the Festival, to the right of the welcome sign.

ATM's
There are ATM's on site at the Festival, please note that transaction fees are applicable.
Please note: the Festival committee do not own or operate the ATM's and therefore are not responsible for any fault with the ATM's.

Cost of Rides
The rides cost between $5 - $12 per ride.
2 for 1 Rides are on Easter Saturday 31st April from 10am - 2pm.
Coupons are available in the Gladstone Observer on Saturday 24th & Saturday 31st March.
